Olafur Eliasson

Olafur Eliasson is an Icelandic artist who is famous for creating installation art. Olafur Eliasson wants us to see, hear, touch, smell & taste his art. So his art projects can always interact with people. I really like the artwork called “ Your Uncertain Shadow” . It is an art project which uses the projector to reflect the light. But the difference is the projector will reflect five of the colors So that when people walk, The light will make the shadow of people, and then divide into five different colors of shadows.

The reason why I like this artwork is because I think the idea is very creative. I like the color of the art project. So in factory ideas week, I made an art project referenced by this artist. I want to make a project that can present the situation of the disease. The disease called “AIWS” . It is a syndrome that children will get, when people get the disease, they will have abnormal vision. So when they look at the thing they will feel the thing becomes bigger, and suddenly becomes smaller. So I think Olafur Eliasson’s Artwork can present the situation of the people who get the disease. I'm trying to use colorful plastic sheets to cut the children’s body shape. It looks like the doppelgänger of the children. For my artwork. I want to let people know how painful it is for the people who get the disease. As for why I chose the color plastic sheet, is because only children will get this disease so the color symbolizes the liveliness and simplicity of children.
